m&m's for breakfast

I am eating chocolate like it's going out of style! Yummy. It's one of those super-sweet-tooth-devil-may-care-letmy-teeth-rot kinda days. Maybe I will have a salad for lunch. With M&M's on the side!

not all mothers

I try my best to be kind, and compassionate. I try to speak with a pleasant voice. I try to be nuturing and so interested in the mundane world of Barbies and trying to put one's shoes on. But today I realized that not all mothers have the disposition of kindergarten teachers. We are human, raw, emotional...and mostly do our best given those traits. Some days are better than others. Some momments are better than others. Some kids are better than others.

up all night

I rememeber the days when I would party like a rocksatr. Now the only reason I stay up all night is if Myself or one of my kids is sick. Last night it was my turn. No details to follow. Let's just say I am happy it's a new day and my toast seems to be settling well.

saturday nights alright for fighting

We watch Lawrence Welk every Saturday night. No, I am not a part of the Geritol generation. It really is one of the most entertaining shows on television. Watching my daughter spin around in a specially chosen fancy dress and " clicky shoes" while Guy and Rona gaze adoringly during a duet is one of the joys motherhood has brought that was ( litterally) inconceiveable prior to having a child. Now I look forward to Saturday all week.

sunny days and fridays always get me down

Welcome to the 3 ring circus that is my life. Woman. Mother. Actor. Well there are more than 3 rings but they kinda overlap. Maybe I am more like Saturn... a jumble of stormy rocky rings orbiting around the center- which is my heart and soul.
I do not seek to impress with my writing, or to dazzle with my observations, but hope to gain some insight from the practice of daily writing.
The joy of my day so far, (and it is only 8:30am) my 4 year old daughter put her shoes on all by herself. Actually she put her shoes and her socks on without me cajoling, begging coercing, bribing or threatening! Hurrah!
